Lithium and Rare Minerals
Lithium is a critical component of the global energy transition. Zimbabwe hosts some of Africa’s most prospective hard-rock lithium geology, with increasing international investment and development activity.
Our lithium assets provide strategic optionality alongside our gold-led exploration focus.
Positioned Within Proven Lithium Districts
Our lithium assets are located within Zimbabwe’s most prospective pegmatite corridors and are strategically positioned near major producing operations such as the Sabi Star Mine and Bikita Minerals.
Geological Rationale
Asset selection focused on geological continuity, structural trends, and host rock characteristics consistent with known deposits, providing a logical foundation for early-stage exploration.
Strategic Role
Lithium assets complement the gold-led investment narrative, provide exposure to battery metals, and offer potential for future partnerships, spin-outs, or project-level transactions.
These operations demonstrate the scale, continuity, and economic relevance of pegmatite-hosted lithium mineralisation within the region.
Beryllium and Tantalum:
Pegmatite zones within our portfolio show notable beryllium and tantalum potential. Zimbabwe has over 300 known tantalum occurrences, and the association of these minerals with lithium-bearing pegmatites offers co-production opportunities and diversified revenue potential.
Multi-Commodity Upside:
Independent work has identified structurally controlled gold belts within portions of the lithium asset portfolio, creating multi-commodity upside within the same landholdings.
Gemstone Potential:
Portions of our portfolio host favorable geology for emerald mineralization, with biotite and chlorite schists present—typical host rocks for emerald deposits similar to Zimbabwe's renowned Sandawana deposits.
Geological Rationale
The geological diversity of our portfolio, combining both greenstone and granitic terrains, provides a robust foundation for a variety of mineralization styles, including orogenic gold, pegmatite-hosted lithium, beryllium, tantalum, and gemstone occurrences.
